New York Attorney General Charged With Criminal Bank Fraud Charges
A national judicial panel has charged the New York attorney general for bank fraud this past Thursday, according to an informed source.
Lindsey Halligan personally presented the case before the judicial panel this Thursday, the person said.
Federal prosecutors seldom address such panels.
Halligan took over as US attorney the previous month after the president became frustrated with the pace of inquiries involving adversaries.
The move marks a recent strategy to weaponize the Department of Justice to target opponents.
It comes two weeks after charges were filed involving Comey.
Long-serving lawyers drafted a memorandum for that matter outlining why indictments lacked merit.
Comey denied the charges recently.
